EOB's Interview with MANIFEST
(Renagade Hardware/ Deception/ Audio Decay/ 13Music)
Manifest started making beats in 96 when i started renting the TOV studio. At the time there were two engineers J.Maldini(BC) &
D-Bridge who helped him with his first tracks. A year later he was engineering for various artists from Drum N Bass, Techno, Breaks,
House & Hip Hop.
Over the years he has recorded for Hardleaders, Renegade Hardware, Renegade Recordings, TOV, Dread, Achitecture, Audio
Coutre(Moving Shadow), 13 Musik, Toolroom Records, Azuli Records [Blackmarket Records/ Rollin Compilation] and his own
imprint Deception Recordings which was created by Manifest & Mark Dixson in 2001.
Their first releases on Deception Recordings: "Never 2 Far" Feat. Lisa Viva and "5 Boros" were championed by DJs Ray Keith, Nicky Blackmarket,
Bailey and many more, although it was their second release; the infamous "Dub War" that got the label noticed when Grooverider
was playing the track in clubs all over the world and on his Radio One show.
The track became a favourite of many other DJs on the scene and left peeps craving more Deception releases.Manifest took time out
in 2003 to build a new studio in order to create more tracks. They were instantly snapped up by Renegade Hardware and released on
projects such as 'Skool Of Hardknocks' album sampler [Og Returns] & his "Raw & Real" E.P.
This last featured “I Don’t Give A Fuck” with Keaton and “Killer Instinct”.
Since then, Manifest has remixed Supply & Demand's "Live It Up" on Trouble On Vinyl; The Mix CD for Renegade Hardware’s “Future Beatz02”
and The Factory's "Couldnt Love U more" on the well respected Electro House label 'Toolroom'; as well as Podcasts for D'n'B Arena,
a Mix CD for Knowledge Magazine, 'End Of Dayz' and many other projects.
The label's debut has been postponed many times due to other projects and Manifest being on demand from other labels and DJ bookings;
but it's now 2008 and Deception Recordings is ready to roll with a roster of artists (Identity, Gremlinz, Verb and many more....)
and a vast selection of infectuous tracks! Get ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ROLLING MAFFIA is a DJ- but also as an organiser collective. They started out together in the beginning of 2006. Their homebase is right in between Brussels and Louvain, in the centre of Belgium. Before that, the dj's already separately discovered their love for music so they've been gathering experience for a much longer period than this. Also, they come from different musical backgrounds which is still reflected in the wide variety of styles covered bythe Rolling Maffia today. They drop down different styles of broken electronic music, ranging from NU SKOOL-, CLUBBY- and HEAVY BREAKS to the LIQUID, ROLLING and GRIMEY sounds of DRUM N BASS.
